David Mott, Evan Ziporyn, and Jesse Stewart

4:30pm @ the Registry Theatre

$18 / $12

Three outstanding musicians gather for a concert of improvisation. David Mott (baritone saxophone) and Evan Ziporyn (clarinet and bass clarinet) are both masters of extended wind techniques, able to produce growling bass rumbles, dizzying clouds of multiphonics, percussive effects, infinitely sustained tones, and many other sounds which seem to emanate from somewhere outside the realm of possibility. Guelph's Jesse Stewart is a dynamic and versatile award-winning percussionist who has played with with many jazz greats as a free-lance percussionist and with the cutting-edge Guelph Jazz Festival. All three of these musicians are also composers in their own right, and bring strong individual voices to their instruments.
