Directions

Kitchener is about 1.5 hours south west of Toronto (normal driving time).

Kitchener is accessible from Highway 401 by taking Hwy 8: once off the 401, simply follow Highway 8 to King Street which will take you right into the heart of Kitchener. All performing venues are within walking distance of the corner of King and Queen Street.

Greyhound bus lines has frequent service to Kitchener from all over the country, including a very frequent commuter schedule from Toronto, enabling easy day trips to the festival.

Accommodation:

For hotel accomodations, contact the Walper Terrace Hotel at (519)-745-4321.

Bed and Breakfasts are also available in the Kitchener area. For details please call Jo-Anne Findlay, Kitchener Bed & Breakfast Association at 1-877-653-6756.

Kitchener and Waterloo are adjacent to each other, and are joined by the #7 bus which runs along King Street. The ride is quite short (about 10 minutes), and the last bus leaves after midnight, making Waterloo an easy option for accommodation, even for the late-night concert crowd. In particular, inexpensive Waterloo accommodation can be found at Wilfrid Laurier University during the summer term (their page is out of date, but most of the information will still be relevant - we'll update it when they do).
