Guerilla Sound Events
Various times and locations, Downtown Kitchener
Peter Hatch’s Guerilla Sound Events are short ‘spontaneous’ performance art pieces intended to draw attention to urban soundscapes through unannounced sonic interventions, from a solo tubist found in unusual locations to five cars in motion sounding their horns. While often humorous in nature, they also bring attention to both the noise and recognizable ‘soundmarks’ of urban life, calling for a more active role in shaping our urban soundscapes.
These events will not be publicly advertised; stay tuned to our website for more details and keep your eyes and (especially) ears open during the festival.
