One of the highlights of our 2003 festival, Sanctuary returns with a new CD of material which further explores the crossroads between Gregorian chant, free improvisation and contemporary classical music. Built around the unique instrumental combination of bass clarinet, cello, and pipe organ, and always performed in resonant churches, Sanctuary’s music achieves a sound, which is by turns contemplative, lyrical, intense, and magical.
